At Lanier Flight Center we recognize that our pilots are the heart of the business. It is with great pride that we join in celebrating their accomplishments and we wish a hearty congratulations to each of our pilots who have completed milestones in their training.

Aaron Pennington - First Solo!

Aaron Pennington, for the first time, took command of a Cessna and acted as PIC during solo flight at the Gilmer Memorial Airport, Gainesville, GA! Aaron has been at it for a few months and worked hard for it. Aaron is a 17 year old high school student who is working toward a Private Pilot certificate here at Lanier Flight Center.

Aaron has been here working toward his private pilot certificate since 1/07 and is making fantastic progress. He is a student of Matt Perrer . Matt watched Aaron's solo with proud approval and looks forward to seeing him through to his pilot certificate. Way to go, Aaron!
